Our materials and how we choose
Four families of products, four ways of choosing them. Here is what we check before a piece enters the catalogue.
Silver
We list only hallmarked 925 silver. The hallmark is struck on the piece — on the band of a ring, on the back of a pendant, on the clasp of a necklace. Without a hallmark, the piece does not go in.
Some of our antique pieces also carry a workshop mark or a regional stamp. We mention it whenever it is legible.
Set stones
We state the nature of each stone as it was given to us and as we can recognise it by eye and under a loupe. We do not provide a gemmological certificate: our stones are semi-precious and ornamental, not fine-jewellery gems, and the cost of certification would often exceed the value of the piece.
Where a stone is an acknowledged imitation — glass, resin, synthetic cubic zirconia — we say so. We never sell an imitation under the name of a natural stone.
Minerals and meteorites
Our minerals are raw: neither cut, nor heated, nor dyed. The dimensions given are measured against the reference object visible in our workshop photographs; they are orders of magnitude, not expert measurements.
Our meteorites are not classified. They have not been analysed in a laboratory and appear in no official catalogue. We sell them as collection specimens, on the strength of their density, their surface appearance and their Saharan provenance — not as scientifically documented pieces.
Antiques
Every antique object is sold as seen. We do not restore, we do not re-polish, we do not make dents disappear. The patina, the wear at the points of friction, the traces of old repairs are part of the object and of its history.
The dates and regional attributions we give are indicative. They rest on form, technique and comparison with known pieces. A formal attribution would require an expert opinion, and we are not experts.
Local produce
Our oils and skincare are produced by Moroccan facilities holding Moroccan health authorisations. They are sold under their original brand, with the composition and certifications as declared by the producer.
