A brass ewer with a long tapering spout, high handle and hinged lid.
Moroccan metalware — the working of brass, copper and pewter — is practised with hammer and graver in the souks of Fez, Marrakech and Tetouan. The pieces are assembled by hand and the decoration engraved line by line: no two are ever identical.
Antique piece sold as seen, with its patina. The small dents and the wear are part of its history; we do not make them disappear.
What you should know
Antique object sold as seen. The patina, the wear at the points of friction and the small dents are part of its history: we do not make them disappear. The dating and the attribution are indicative; a formal opinion would require an expert appraisal.
